My mistake was that I opened an account on an online platform, saved my credit card there for future payments and forgot about for years. And now in a year and a half, I have got a greeting from there. The account was hacked and the card was abused. Luckily, it was a large and reliable platform, support has responded quickly and the problem was solved.
